THE Ministry of Industries, Mines and Energy has announced that the prices of petrol and both diesel grades will remain unchanged for March 2026. In Walvis Bay, ULP95 petrol will stay at N$19.58 per litre, Diesel 50ppm at N$19.63 per litre, and Diesel 10ppm at N$19.73 per litre.
The decision follows the Ministry’s latest review of fuel prices, which recorded an over-recovery of 5.04 cents per litre for petrol and under-recoveries of 40.04 cents per litre for Diesel 50ppm and 89.77 cents per litre for Diesel 10ppm. The Dealer Margin for fuel retailers will increase slightly by 2 cents per litre, from 236 cents to 238 cents per litre, effective 4 March 2026.
According to the Ministry, international shipping and freight costs declined in February due to easing geopolitical tensions and improved tanker availability, while crude oil prices rose amid tightening global supply and strong demand. The Namibia Dollar also strengthened slightly against the US Dollar during the review period.
Taking these factors into account, the Ministry resolved to maintain current pump prices while continuing to monitor international oil market developments to safeguard domestic price stability.
