UPDATE: Windhoek Magistrate Immanuel Undjambala has given a stern warning that he would grant a final postponement in the alleged bribery case involving former Minister of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform, Mac-Albert Hengari, ordering the State to provide an update on the Prosecutor General’s decision (PGD) on whether the matter will proceed to prosecution in the High Court or Regional Court, or be struck off the roll. This comes after the State prosecutor requested a further postponement, citing that the PGD is not yet ready. Hengari’s case was subsequently postponed to 10 March 2026 for a final remand. Hengari and his 30-year-old co-accused were arrested on 26 April 2025 after allegedly attempting to offer a bribe of N$220,000 to a 21-year-old woman who had accused Hengari of raping her in 2019, when she was still a minor.
