THE Namibia Water Corporation, NamWater, has announced a scheduled water supply interruption on Friday, 20 February, for the City of Windhoek and surrounding areas, which include Finkenstein, Herbothsbrick and Hosea Kutako International Airport.
The planned water supply interruption on 20 February 2026 is expected to be from 07:30 to 16:30 due to critical maintenance at the Von Bach Booster 2 Substation.
NamPower stated that it has scheduled a power outage at the Von Bach Booster 2 Substation on 20 February due to critical maintenance on station equipment.
This total station isolation will directly impact operations at NamWater’s feeder at the Von Bach Booster 2 Pump Station. Consequently, the station will be unable to transfer water for the duration of the power outage and until electricity supply is fully restored.
