THE Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform has dismissed as false and misleading a social media post circulating about an “Agricultural Grants Programme 2026”, warning the public that the information did not originate from the Ministry and should be disregarded.
In a statement, the Ministry said the post and links being shared online are not official and have no connection to any government programme or initiative. Members of the public were cautioned against engaging with the links or providing any personal information.
The Ministry urged Namibians to rely only on official government platforms and verified communication channels for accurate information regarding grants, programmes and public notices.
The public was further encouraged to help curb the spread of misinformation by not sharing unverified content circulating on social media.
