RAINFALL has persisted across various parts of the country, and meteorologists warn that even heavier showers are on the horizon.
Tsumeb in the Oshikoto Region and Oshakati in the Oshana Region are among the areas that have seen consistent rainfall in recent days, recording 16 mm and 26 mm, respectively, between Wednesday and Thursday morning. Ondangwa also continued to receive showers, recording 37 mm of rain on Wednesday. Leeulaagte, near Oshivelo, also saw some rainfall on Wednesday, recording around 11 mm.

Other areas reported rainfall as well, including Windhoek, which experienced light showers, as well as Many Hills Nature Estate near the capital, Usakos in the Erongo Region, and Otjiwarongo in the Otjozondjupa Region.
Rain showers are expected to intensify in some areas over the coming days. The Namibia Meteorological Services predicts that Friday could bring heavier rainfall, particularly in the Kunene and //Kharas regions, with a risk of flash floods in some areas. The public is advised to take the necessary precautions.
