Nestlé NAN Infant Formula recalled over safety concerns

Staff Reporter

THE 800-gram (g) tin of Nestlé NAN Special Pro HA Infant Formula (0–12 months), batch number 5166074213, is being recalled.

The recall was announced by the Eenhana Town Council following an urgent notice issued by the Ministry of Health and Social Services, advising that the product should not be used.

“The product has been sold since September 2025 through major retailers and distributors nationwide. Retailers and consumers are urged to immediately withdraw the product from sale or discontinue its use,” said the council’s Public Relations Officer, Simon Martin.

Parents and caregivers are advised to seek immediate medical attention if an infant who has consumed the product shows symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhoea, lethargy or unusual behaviour.

For more information, the public may contact Victoria Haindobo at 065 290 617 or Selma Shimhanda at 065 290 624.
