A RESIDENT of Hanover in Ongwediva, who recently returned from South Africa, was arrested on Thursday after announcing on social media that he was selling a gun.
Law enforcement agents took note of the advertisement and approached the seller. They discovered that the gun — a pistol — was unlicensed and had been brought into the country from South Africa illegally.
According to the police, the suspect’s passport shows that he entered the country through a designated entry point but did not declare the gun he was carrying.
