A MAN identified as Innocent Shawn was shot dead in the capital’s Okahandja Park informal settlement by a taxi driver.
According to the weekend crime bulletin, the murder happened on Saturday, 22 November 2025 at around 19:30 in Ongava Street, Okahandja Park.
It is alleged that a 50-year-old male, a taxi driver, took a customer from town to Okuryangava. It is further alleged that the taxi driver diverted to Okahandja Park, where he was attacked by more than five males, including the customer. It is reported that his taxi’s right front window was smashed and he was badly assaulted, after which he drew his pistol and shot the deceased. Police investigations continue.
Shawn was declared dead upon arrival at Katutura State Hospital.
