THE IMPACT OF RECENT SHOWERS: Recent rainfall across the country has already made a noticeable impact, with the Hoarusib River officially reaching the ocean this weekend — a milestone that was captured and widely shared on social media. These developments come as a result of the scattered rains experienced in various parts of the country. The showers have brought welcome relief to many areas from the north to the south. In fact, Tsumeb in the Oshikoto Region recently experienced rain accompanied by hail, while Aroab in the //Kharas Region recorded more than 30 mm of rain this weekend. According to the Namibia Meteorological Service, further rainfall is expected in the interior, particularly in the north-eastern and //Kharas regions.
