THE Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform is alerting the public to beware of a fake grant application notice circulating on social media.
According to the Ministry, the notice did not originate from them, and the Facebook page being used to share the fake information is not the official page of the Ministry.
“The Ministry currently does not have any grant programme running. Only the Subsidy Programme is active, and authentic information about it can be obtained from your nearest Agricultural Extension Office,” said the Ministry.
The public is strongly cautioned not to pay or send money to anyone claiming to register applicants for any grant on behalf of the Ministry.
