THE ballot papers for the 2025 Regional and Local Authorities Councils elections arrived at Hosea Kutako International Airport and will be transported to the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) warehouse for safekeeping before being dispatched to the regions.

According to ECN Chief Electoral Officer, Peter Shaama, the ballot papers were printed by Uniprint Global, a South African company whose bid was found to be the most responsive and cost-effective.

“In total, 1,815,100 ballot papers were printed for the Regional Council elections and 920,400 for the Local Authority elections,” Shaama said.

He added that all necessary logistics and security measures are in place to ensure the safe storage and distribution of the ballot materials ahead of the elections.
