THE Ministry of Industrialisation, Mines and Energy has announced that fuel prices will remain unchanged for November 2025, despite mixed movements in international oil prices and local cost adjustments.
This means that in Walvis Bay, petrol will continue to retail at N$20.37 per litre, diesel 50ppm at N$19.92 per litre, and diesel 10ppm at N$20.02 per litre.
According to the Ministry, its latest fuel price review recorded an over-recovery of 55.27 cents per litre for petrol, while diesel 50ppm and diesel 10ppm registered under-recoveries of 32.63 cents and 25.82 cents per litre, respectively.
The Ministry further announced a 30-cent increase in the industry margin, bringing it to 219 cents per litre. The adjustment, aimed at ensuring the financial sustainability of fuel importers and maintaining a stable fuel supply across the country, will be funded through the National Energy Fund.
Providing context for the November review, the Ministry noted that international oil prices fell in October, with Brent crude averaging around USD 61.50 per barrel — the lowest level since May 2025. This decline has been linked to a growing global oil surplus as OPEC+ gradually increases production by 137,000 barrels per day starting this month.
During the review period, the average price of petrol dropped by 5.5% to USD 79.77 per barrel, while diesel 50ppm and diesel 10ppm decreased by 1.47% and 1.35%, respectively. Meanwhile, the Namibia Dollar strengthened by 1% against the US Dollar, averaging N$17.27 per USD between 1 and 27 October.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining fuel price stability and ensuring affordability for consumers while safeguarding the sustainability of Namibia’s downstream petroleum sector.
