AMBASSADOR Berthold Haufiku has been appointed as Namibia’s new Chief of Protocol, the Presidency announced this week.
Ambassador Haufiku brings over two decades of experience in diplomacy, international relations, and multilateral engagement. Throughout his career, he has served Namibia with distinction in various roles within the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation, as well as in diplomatic missions abroad.
As Chief of Protocol, Ambassador Haufiku will advise the President and the Presidency on matters of diplomatic protocol and oversee the coordination of official engagements, state visits, and international events.
According to the Presidency, his appointment underscores government’s commitment to strengthening Namibia’s diplomatic presence and upholding high standards of professionalism in international relations.
The Presidency extended its congratulations to Ambassador Haufiku and wished him success in his new role.
