AN ANGOLAN national, aged 46, was arrested in the Omusati region for smuggling AK-47 assault rifles into Namibia.
The police netted the gun runner during a sting operation in the early morning hours of Tuesday.
He was caught while attempting to sell five AK-47 submachine guns and their respective magazines.
The suspect was apprehended on the Epalela–Ruacana C46 main road.
