UPDATE: There is currently only one confirmed Mpox case in Namibia, which is under strict isolation in Walvis Bay. Information circulating on social media claiming that 44 Mpox cases have been confirmed is false, according to Walters Kamaya, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Social Services. He clarified that the Ministry is monitoring 44 individuals who came into contact with the Mpox-positive patient, but none have shown symptoms so far. Report: Zorena Jantze.
