THE First Gentleman of the Republic of Namibia, Lt. Gen. (Rtd) Epaphras Denga Ndaitwah, has encouraged Grade 11 and 12 learners at Delta Secondary School Windhoek (DSSW) to embrace leadership, discipline, and hard work as they prepare for the 2025 National Examinations.
Addressing the learners, Lt. Gen. Ndaitwah — who also champions the boy child inclusion agenda — underscored the value of integrity in leadership and perseverance in achieving success.
“Leadership is about doing the right things; management is about doing things right,” he said, urging the learners to take charge of their future and make the most of government initiatives such as free tertiary education and youth development programmes.

He further reminded learners that discipline begins at home and to play a visible and constructive role in society.
“Discipline starts at home. Be seen and make your mark,” he said.
Also addressing the learners, Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture, and DSSW alumnus, Hon. Dino Ballotti, motivated them to remain focused during their final school stretch.
“Put on your geek mode, ghost mode, and beast mode — this is your last stretch,” he said, emphasising that education remains a key driver of nation-building and personal development.
Lt. Gen. Ndaitwah closed with a message of optimism and resilience: “Let’s seize every opportunity and rise to the challenge — there is no challenge without opportunity.”
