Father and son found guilty of Carlos le Roux’s murder

UPDATE: Hendrick le Roux (58) and Borris le Roux (29), accused of murdering their youngest son and brother, Carlos le Roux, who was mentally ill, were today found guilty on the charge of murder, while being found not guilty on a count of assault. High Court Judge Philanda Christian said that the two acted in common purpose in assaulting Carlos le Roux, describing scenes in which neighbours could hear the screams of the deceased for an hour, with heavy blows, and witnessing his body being carried out in the morning after the fatal beating. Carlos, who was murdered by his father and brother, died on January 7, 2021, at Takarania location. The two allegedly hit the deceased on his body and head with broomsticks, plastic pipes, steel pipes, and/or other unknown objects, and/or hit his head against hard objects. The victim died at the scene from subdural bleeding caused by blunt force trauma to the head.
