RARE SIGHT: An orca (killer whale) was recently spotted in Namibian waters near Mile 30 — a thrilling and highly unusual encounter. Captured on video, the powerful apex predator was seen approaching people on boats, offering a rare glimpse of a species seldom observed along Namibia’s coast. Only a handful of orca sightings, if any, are reported in the country each year.
