A 41-YEAR-OLD woman was admitted to hospital under police guard after an alleged incident of concealment of birth.
The incident occurred in the Elyambala location in Ongwediva, where the suspect is employed as a bartender.
It is alleged that the suspect “unlawfully and intentionally” disposed of the body of a newly born baby boy, having placed it in a black plastic bag before dumping it, where it was discovered by a fellow employee who reported the matter to the police.
The body was taken to the police mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
The suspect was admitted to the Oshakati Intermediate Hospital in a stable condition and under police guard.
