PRESIDENT Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah announced the appointment of 10 Ambassadors and High Commissioners to represent Namibia in various countries and international organisations.
The newly appointed Ambassadors are:

- Monica Ndiliawike Nashandi – Russian Federation
- Wilbard Shihepo Manique Hellao – United States of America
- Sophia Kakena Kauna Nangula – Sweden
- Benjamin Kandanga – Republic of Finland
- Jerobeam Shaanika – Federal Republic of Germany
- Sabine Bohlke Moller – French Republic
- Lebbius Tobias – Republic of Cuba
- Sipapela Cletius Sipapela – Democratic Republic of Congo

Speaking at State House, the President said the appointments reflect Namibia’s commitment to strengthening bilateral and multilateral relations, particularly through economic diplomacy.
“You are stepping into this responsibility at a time of shifting geopolitical dynamics, marked by uncertainty, diminishing global security, and rising economic protectionism. I have appointed you based on your experience to navigate our bilateral relations during this time,” Nandi-Ndaitwah said.
The President emphasised that the new envoys will serve a four-year term and are expected to align their work with national priorities, including Vision 2030, the 6th National Development Plan (NDP6), and the Policy on International Relations and Cooperation.
“Your appointment is not simply a privilege; it is a solemn trust. You are called to serve with integrity, dedication, and patriotism,” she said, adding that ambassadors must work to secure market access for Namibian products, foster global opportunities for youth, and strengthen people-to-people relations abroad.
Nandi-Ndaitwah also urged the diplomats to draw inspiration from Namibia’s struggle for independence and to serve as role models for young Namibians aspiring to careers in diplomacy.
“As envoys, you carry more than Namibia’s flag. You carry its hopes, dreams, sacrifices, and future. Let your service be marked by integrity, courage, vision, and dignity,” Nandi-Ndaitwah said.
