NAMWATER has announced a planned 13-hour water supply shutdown on the Ondangwa-Omuntele pipeline, scheduled for Tuesday, 16 September 2025.
According to NamWater, the shutdown, requested by DAT JV, will allow for the re-routing of a section of the pipeline crossing the road at kilometre 5 near Okashandja village.
The interruption will run from 06:00 to 19:00 and will affect Extension 24 and the Gwashamba Mall area in Ondangwa town, as well as all clients supplied from the Ondangwa-Omuntele pipeline.
NamWater has advised residents and businesses in the affected areas to store sufficient water to last for the full duration of the shutdown.
