THE Ondangwa Town Council Sports Club is set to host its inaugural Ondangwa Run on 27 September 2025.
The town’s Spokesperson, Petrina Shitalangaho-Mutikisha, said the event will feature road races over distances of 5km, 10km, 15km, and 21km. According to Shitalangaho-Mutikisha, this milestone event is aimed at promoting healthy living, community engagement, and local pride through sport and wellness.
“The event is more than just a run; it’s a platform to unite the people of Ondangwa, promote a healthy lifestyle, and showcase the town’s vibrant spirit,” she said.
She added that they are excited to make history together.
Shitalangaho-Mutikisha noted that the race is inclusive and open to all fitness levels, encouraging participation from families, young people, and the elderly alike.
Registration fees are as follows: N$20 for ages 10–20, N$50 for ages 21–50, and free for participants over 50 years.
As part of the full-day event, the Council extends a special invitation to organisations and individuals in the healthcare industry to exhibit their products, services, and innovations at the Ondangwa Trade Fair Centre.
She emphasised that this will serve as a platform for wellness, engagement, partnership-building, and networking.
Shitalangaho-Mutikisha indicated that registration can be completed via email, through the link available on all social media platforms, or upon request.
