ONGWEDIVA Trade Fair will have a police station on the grounds this year as part of strengthened security measures introduced ahead of the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair (OATF), scheduled for 22–30 August.
The Ongwediva Trade Fair Society (OTFS), in partnership with the Oshana Police, has inaugurated a new prefabricated Police Satellite Charge Office inside the Ongwediva Trade Fair Centre to enhance safety during the popular annual event.

The mini police station is set to ensure the security of visitors, vendors, and exhibitors, while enabling swift responses to emergencies, supporting law and order, and improving overall safety. Strategically located within the fairgrounds, the facility underscores the collaborative commitment of OTFS and law enforcement to prioritise public safety.
The OATF is expected to attract thousands of attendees from across Namibia and neighbouring countries. With the new security infrastructure in place, organisers expressed confidence that the event will proceed smoothly.
As preparations intensify, the partnership between OTFS and the Oshana Police reflects a shared vision of hosting a vibrant, safe, and successful trade fair that celebrates business, culture, and community resilience.
