The Namibia Qualifications Authority kicked off the second annual Future ready information session at the Sam Nujoma Sports Stadium early this morning, the 16th of July 2025. The Information Session for High School Learners, under the heading: Charting Paths to Success and Opportunity’, is a three-day event from the 16th to 18th July.
Organised by the Namibia Qualifications Authority (NAQA) in collaboration with the Khomas Regional Council: Directorate of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture, and the #BeFree Youth Campus, this three-day event aims to provide high school learners with credible, accurate information and empower them regarding accredited educational opportunities and career guidance.
In excess of 600 learners flooded the parking area of the arena and the main tent on the first day, for the opening ceremony and the networking engagement. This year’s event is geared to also include grade 11 learners as part of the event.
With over 70 stalls from universities, vocational training centres, tertiary education institutions, and corporate entities, this initiative is designed to provide the students with access to reliable information and resources to pursue accredited qualifications and make informed decisions on their future.
Edda Bohn, Deputy Executive Director (DED) of Formal Education and schools, delivered the keynote address, on behalf of Hon. Sanet Steenkamp, Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts & Culture.
