The Chamber announced that Caroline Maswabi-Sibungo was elected as Chairperson, with Carin Ziegel taking up the role of Vice Chairperson. The remaining Executive Committee members are Jerusa Hangula, Gawie Roodt, Moses Helao, Immanuel Hamadziripi, and Bertha Iitana.

In her acceptance speech, Maswabi-Sibungo expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to lead the business community. She emphasised the importance of transforming the economic potential of Swakopmund and the broader region into tangible outcomes. She also pledged to strengthen collaboration between the private sector and local authorities to help shape policies and strategies that foster investment and entrepreneurship.

Representing the Swakopmund Municipality, Councillor Heinrich Hafeni commended the Chamber’s ongoing efforts to support business growth by attracting investment and creating opportunities for enterprises to grow and thrive.

“We know that the strength of our towns and regions lies in the strength of our business community, and we commend the NCCI for continuing to lead by example in this regard,” Hafeni added.
