THREE men aged 33, 35 and 37 have been arrested after a planned robbery targeting a 31-year-old woman, an employee of a Chinese shop in Ongwediva, was prevented on Wednesday following intelligence-led policing.
Oshana Crime Investigation Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Fredrick Ndjadila, said the incident occurred around 21:30.
According to Ndjadila, the suspects’ vehicle, which was allegedly involved in the plot, was intercepted at the Ongwediva Guava Centre traffic lights.
He added that all individuals were taken to the Ongwediva Police Station for further investigation.
Ndjadila indicated that the suspects are facing charges of attempted robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.
