A 26-year-old Angolan man is facing charges of rape following an alleged incident in the holding cells of the Ondangwa Police Station on Tuesday.
Oshana Crime Investigation Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Fredrick Ndjadila, said the incident occurred around 19:45.
According to Ndjadila, the suspect allegedly instructed the victim, a 25-year-old man, to join him in the shower.
“The suspect then allegedly ordered the victim to remove his trousers and raped him,” he said.
The suspect is charged with contravention of the Combating of Rape Act, Act 8 of 2000.
