RAINFALL AND SANDSTORMS: While some coastal areas have been battling sandstorms for several days, certain interior regions experienced winter rainfall over the weekend. Areas that saw light rain included central areas such as Windhoek in the Khomas Region, as well as eastern places like Gobabis in the Omaheke Region. Meanwhile, the coastal areas battled sandstorms as east weather conditions persisted throughout most of the week. According to the Namibia Meteorological Services, Monday is expected to bring milder weather for most interior areas, with temperatures not expected to drop below zero and no rainfall predicted. The coast, however, can expect sandstorms to continue in some areas on Monday.
