CAUTION: Strong east weather conditions have developed in the coastal areas and are expected to persist throughout the day – potentially continuing into the weekend for some coastal areas. Walvis Bay, in particular, is expected to experience ongoing sandstorms until Saturday. However, coastal areas in general are widely affected by strong winds and sandstorms today, significantly reducing visibility. The B2 road between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay is especially impacted, with low visibility and sand-covered surfaces. Road users are advised to drive with extreme caution in these areas.
