UPDATE: Namibia’s Health and Social Services Minister, Dr. Esperance Luvindao, has been appointed as the Chairperson of Committee A at the 78th World Health Assembly (WHA). Under the chairmanship of Dr. Luvindao, Committee A of the 78th WHA is expected to adopt the landmark agreement on pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response, as well as approve the WHO programme budget for the next biennium. The 37th Commonwealth Health Ministers Meeting is taking place in Geneva under the theme Investing in Health: Sustainable Financing for an Equitable Commonwealth.
