The Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sport, Arts and Culture, Dino Ballotti, will officially open the 2025 Real Madrid Foundation Football Clinics in Katima Mulilo, Zambezi Region, on Monday, 19 May 2025.
“Following the successful implementation of the Real Madrid Foundation Clinics in 2023 and 2024, the programme will continue in 2025. With the generous assistance of Cadilu Fishing, the 2025 Real Madrid Foundation Football Clinics will be conducted in Katima Mulilo (Zambezi Region) from 19–23 May 2025 and in Nkurenkuru (Kavango West Region) from 26–30 May 2025. These football clinics form part of the wider network of the Real Madrid Foundation, which has a presence in 46 countries and over 40,000 participants,” said the Namibia Schools Sport Union’s (NSSU) National Coordinator, Rogerdeltry Kambatuku.
Kambatuku stated that the programme aims to expose participants to high-quality training delivered by Real Madrid Foundation coaches using the Foundation’s methodology, in collaboration with local coaches—enabling participants to acquire both technical skills and core values.
“This year, the clinics aim to impact over 1,000 learners (both boys and girls) and 150 teachers in four identified regions: Zambezi, Kavango West, Hardap and Omusati,” he added.
Kambatuku further revealed that the programme is implemented through the NSSU and the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sport, Arts and Culture, and is facilitated by the Embassy of Spain in Namibia, with support from the Real Madrid Foundation and Cadilu Fishing (Pty) Ltd.
