EAST WEATHER: East weather conditions, characterised by strong winds and sandstorms, resulted in poor visibility and dusty roads in Walvis Bay and the surrounding areas this week. This was particularly evident on the B2 Road at the entrance to Walvis Bay, where powerful East winds blew considerable heaps of sand onto the road, making travel difficult and further reducing visibility. According to the Namibia Meteorological Services, similar East wind conditions are expected to return today along the coast and in the Namib, although they are expected to ease by the afternoon.
