THE Austrian women’s hockey team has advanced to the semi-finals of the Indoor Hockey World Cup, currently underway in Croatia, after defeating Namibia 5-1.
Austria dominated the game from start to finish, outshooting Namibia by a wide margin.
Despite the loss, Namibia played hard and never gave up, showing great resilience in the face of adversity.
Meanwhile, in the men’s match, Belgium emerged victorious over Namibia with a close score of 7-6.
Belgium took an early lead, but Namibia fought back to tie the game. The two teams traded goals throughout the match, and the score was tied 6-6 late in the third period. Belgium then scored the go-ahead goal with just minutes remaining in the game.
Namibia pulled their goalie in an attempt to tie the game, but Belgium held on for the win.
