THE National Assembly’s Special Session of the Seventh Parliament has been postponed to Wednesday, 5 February 2025.
Sacky Kadhikwa, the National Assembly’s Senior Public Relations Officer, revealed that the session, originally scheduled to resume on Tuesday, 4 February 2025, has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. The sitting will now take place on Wednesday afternoon at 14:30.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and continued support,” he added.
Kadhikwa disclosed that the sitting will focus on several legislative priorities, including the Public Gatherings and Public Processions Bill, the Roads Bill, and the Regional and Constituency Development Fund Bill. He also revealed that the debate on the critical issue of extracting water from the Ohangwena Aquifer 2, as a vital resource for the Ohangwena Region and the broader northern regions, will resume.
