A 68-YEAR-OLD resident of Onayena village in the Oshikoto Region was assaulted and robbed by four unknown suspects while travelling back home from Onathinge on Thursday evening.
According to the police report, the victim got into a taxi at Onathinge with Onayena as his destination. However, the driver stopped midway, claiming to have a flat tyre and was unable to proceed.
It is alleged that the passenger decided to cover the remaining distance on foot. That was when four men emerged from the darkness, attacked him, and kicked him until he fell to the ground. They then robbed him of his cellphone, a cash amount of N$14,000, his ID card, and house keys.
No arrests have been made yet, and the suspects remain unknown.
