PRIORITISING COMMUNAL GARDENS: The Minister of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform, Calle Schlettwein, paid a courtesy visit to the drought-impacted Omaheke Region at the invitation of the Governor of the Omaheke Region, Pijoo Nganate. During his visit, he toured a garden project in the communal area of Aminus. Schlettwein revealed that his ministry, in collaboration with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), has pledged to assist the community with the project. His visit aimed to assess the conditions of the garden and determine where assistance is required. He identified the need to construct an additional borehole in the area as a priority.
