THE Namibian Police at Bethanie have arrested two suspects who allegedly stole four donkeys, two of which had already been slaughtered by the time the crime was discovered.
The alleged crime occurred at Farm Buchelzbroom West 99 on Saturday afternoon. It is reported that the suspects chased the four donkeys into their kraal on a neighbouring farm.
The owner of the donkeys alerted the police, but by the time law enforcement officers arrived, two of the donkeys had already been slaughtered, while the other two were still in the suspects’ kraal.
The four donkeys are valued at N$8,000.
The suspects, aged 29 and 49, are under arrest and are expected to appear in the Bethanie Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
