THE traditional trend of holidaymakers waiting until the last minute to travel back to their respective towns has changed.
Many travellers are now opting to use transport booking systems to secure their seats and avoid being stranded at service stations. The development of technology and access to cellphones has changed commuter travelling dramatically over the past years.
Previously, long-distance travellers often found themselves stranded at the Okatana service station in Oshakati, waiting for buses and spending the night at the station to catch the first bus in the morning.
This, however, has become a thing of the past. The shift in behaviour among travellers indicates a growing preference for proper planning and organization.
