THE Namibian Police Force in the Oshana Region has arrested a 32-year-old woman found in possession of over 200 litres of fuel without a permit.
Oshana Crime Investigation Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Frederick Ndjadila, said that the suspect was apprehended on Sunday around 17:30 at Uuye-wakapoko location in Ondangwa.
“It is alleged that the suspect was found in possession of over 200 litres of fuel within a local authority area without a permit, while being transported as a passenger in a silver Toyota Wish with an Oshakati registration number,” he said.
He added that five 25-litre containers full of fuel were recovered.
Ndjadila indicated that the suspect has been charged with contravening regulation 3(1), read with section 21 of the Petroleum Products and Energy Act, Act 13 of 1990.
