UPDATE: His Excellency Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, met this morning with Namibian Vice-President and President-Elect Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah for official talks. During the meeting, Nandi-Ndaitwah said that the two Presidents met in 2018 and elevated the cooperation between the two countries to a comprehensive strategic partnership. She said that Yi’s visit at the beginning of the year underscores the importance of relations between China and Namibia. Following the official talks, Yi will travel to Swakopmund to meet with the Namibian President, His Excellency Dr. Nangolo Mbumba. This is a developing story.
