This was announced by Bertha Amakali, Director of Information and Research in the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation.

According to Amakali, Yi will hold official talks with President-elect Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah in Windhoek at the Old State House on Monday.

She further said that Yi would then proceed to the coastal resort town of Swakopmund to hold official talks with President Nangolo Mbumba on the same day.

“Namibia and China enjoy all-weather bilateral relations characterized by close friendship and solidarity,” Amakali said.

She added that the two countries have been collaborating not only at the bilateral level but also on international issues of common concern.

Amakali emphasized that the visit would provide both countries with an opportunity to review progress in a wide range of areas of cooperation.
