OSHANA Regional Electoral Officer Amon Haimbangu expressed satisfaction with the election process in the region.
Haimbangu acknowledged that the primary challenge encountered was the shortage of ballot papers at some polling stations.
“Overall, we performed well,” he said. “Looking at the speed of the election process, we have improved compared to previous elections.”
He regretted, however, that several voters were unable to cast their votes due to the ballot paper shortages.
Despite these issues, Haimbangu commended the region for conducting peaceful, free, and fair elections, stating that they were successful aside from the technical challenges and unequal distribution of ballot papers.
