POLICE in the Oshana Region have reported the arrest of a man accused of raping a 20-year-old woman at Oshakati.
According to a police weekend report issued on Sunday, the incident occurred around 23:00 at Omahenene location.
It is alleged that the suspect offered the victim a ride while she was on her way to a bar. The two reportedly visited several bars before the victim directed the suspect to her house so she could be dropped off.
“It is alleged that after the suspect dropped off the victim at her home, he called her shortly afterward to come outside to his car. After exchanging numbers, the suspect drove to his house, and the victim followed him into his room,” said the police.
The police further alleged that the suspect then removed the victim’s clothes and had sexual intercourse with her without her consent.
