Namibian Police seek public assistance in tracing woman for baby dumping

THE Namibian police in the Erongo Region have requested public assistance in locating Ashley Mudimu, a 24-year-old Zimbabwean national who allegedly buried her baby behind the naval base in Walvis Bay.

Chief Inspector Ileni Shapumba said the lifeless body of a three-month-old baby girl was found by Navy personnel on patrol, buried in a shallow grave next to the sea behind the naval base.

Shapumba added that the child’s mother, a Zimbabwean national, is wanted in connection with the murder of the three-month-old baby girl found buried in the shallow grave.
