President Nangolo Mbumba will depart for Cape Town, South Africa, today for an official visit.

“President Mbumba and H.E. Cyril Ramaphosa, President of the Republic of South Africa, will hold bilateral talks to strengthen and deepen the relations between their two countries. This official visit will provide Namibia with a platform to address issues of national interest and concern,” the Namibian Presidency explained.

The Presidency highlighted that Namibia and South Africa are significant trading partners in both exports and imports.

“South Africa is one of the countries with the highest number of companies operating in Namibia, and Namibia is one of the largest investors in the South African economy. Both countries are members of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and the Southern African Customs Union (SACU),” the Presidency added.

The Namibian Presidency confirmed that President Mbumba will return to Namibia on Wednesday, 30 October 2024.
