THE Windhoek City Council has announced a 5% increase in its municipal tariffs, effective 1 October.
According to a public notice published by the City Council on Tuesday, the municipal services affected by the 5% increase include water, rates and taxes, sewage, and waste management.
“The municipal tariffs have been increased as per Resolution 114/06/2024, in accordance with Section 30(1)(u) of the Local Authorities Act of 1992, as amended.”
