THERE is a worrying and shocking incidence of rape cases in which the victims are minor girls, but equally worrying is that most cases are reported to the police belatedly.
That was the case with a 13-year-old girl, allegedly raped on Sunday the 29th of September, but the crime was only reported to the police more than a week later.
According to the police, the incident occurred in the Eemwandi village in the Tsandi constituency of the Omusati Region when the suspect took the victim to his sleeping room and raped her.
The 30-year-old suspect was arrested and is expected to appear in court.
