A WOMAN who claimed to be the biological mother of an unspecified number of children was arrested at Outapi, Omusati Region, on Wednesday when she took them to the Home Affairs office to obtain birth certificates for them.
According to the police’s regional commander, Ismael Bassoon, the suspect made false statements, including claiming that the children were her biological offspring.
She is also accused of aiding illegal immigrants to remain in Namibia, despite being aware of their illegal status.
