THE 17th edition of the Helao Nafidi Business Expo is set to take place from 25 to 31 October 2024 at the town’s business centre.
The expo will be held under the theme: “Explore the depths: Uncover the hidden treasure with the next frontier of innovation.”
Deputy Minister of Mines and Energy, Kornelia Shilunga, highlighted the importance of navigating the ever-evolving landscape of business and technology, saying that they are on the brink of remarkable discoveries.
Speaking at a recent fundraising event, Shilunga emphasised that innovation is not just a buzzword but a call to action. “It challenges us to dig deeper, to seek out the hidden treasures within our own communities, and to harness the potential that lies within each of us.”
Shilunga remarked that they are celebrating not only the achievements and advancements that have brought them to this moment but also the incredible potential that lies ahead. She noted that while the future is bright, it requires collective effort, creativity, and determination to fully realise its potential.
She added that local participation is essential, as each individual plays a vital role in shaping the narrative of the economic landscape.
“Your ideas, your voices, and your contributions are what will fuel the innovation we so eagerly seek. I encourage you all to engage fully—attend the workshops, share your insights, and network with fellow entrepreneurs and visionaries,” Shilunga urged.
She stressed that as they explore the depths of innovation, they should remember that the greatest treasures are often found when stepping outside their comfort zones. Whether one is a seasoned entrepreneur or just starting out, boundless opportunities await discovery.
Shilunga also encouraged collaboration and knowledge-sharing as they delve into new frontiers. Together, she said, they can uncover solutions that address unique challenges and harness the power of technology to enhance their businesses and lives.
