A CASE of shooting has been opened by the police in the Oshana Region after a 39-year-old man allegedly attacked his ex-girlfriend with a pistol on Sunday evening.
Oshana Regional Commander, Commissioner Naftal Lungameni Sakaria, indicated that the incident occurred at Oluno, opposite the Omo building.
Sakaria said that the suspect also faces charges of discharging a firearm in a municipal area and assault by threat.
According to Sakaria, it is alleged that the suspect went to the flats where his ex-girlfriend was renting. He started knocking at the door, insisting that she open it, but she refused as she was with her new boyfriend in the room.
“The suspect took a pistol and started shooting at the new boyfriend’s vehicle, which was parked in front of the flats,” he said.
He added that six bullet holes were observed, the passenger windows were damaged, and 12 spent cartridges were found at the scene. Fortunately, no one was injured.
